Deborah LevineSenior Staff Attorney, Brief Services Unit
Deborah Levine joined NLSP in 2016 as a part time attorney in the Brief Services Unit. As a brief services attorney, Deborah works with new applicants seeking legal assistance and provides them with initial advice and brief services. Brief Services may include assisting with completing pro se forms, drafting demand letters or conducting brief legal research.
Deborah has participated in the D.C. Bar Pro Bono Program Bankruptcy Clinic and at the D.C. Superior Court Family Court Self-Help Center. Prior to joining NLSP, Deborah worked at the Securities and Exchange Commission as a senior counsel in the Office of General Counsel and in the Division of Enforcement. While at the SEC, she received the Chairman’s Award for Excellence. Before joining the SEC, Deborah was a litigation associate at Wilmer Hale.
Deborah received her J.D. from George Washington University Law School and her B.A. from Cornell University.
