Elizabeth Vogel


Elizabeth first joined NLSP as a Howard C. Westwood Fellow in September 2015. Upon completing that fellowship, Elizabeth was selected for an Equal Justice Works Fellowship, sponsored by the Morrison & Foerster Foundation, to begin at NLSP in September 2017. Elizabeth’s fellowship focuses on providing legal services, outreach, and advocacy to teen parents with family law issues, particularly child custody and child support. She is based in the New York Ave. NE office.

Elizabeth obtained her law degree from Georgetown University Law Center, where she was a recipient of the Jeffrey Crandall Award, Equal Justice America Fellowship, and J.W. Saxe Memorial Fund Award. While at Georgetown, Elizabeth provided direct representation to tenants as part of the Law Students in Court Civil Clinic and was a board member of Georgetown Youth Advocacy and Public Interest Fellows. Elizabeth also spent her second year of law school interning at NSLP.

Elizabeth received her B.A. from Swarthmore College with a special major in Educational Studies and Political Science. Prior to law school, Elizabeth spent five years teaching middle school English in the Bronx. She also received a Master’s Degree in Childhood Education from Bank Street College of Education.
