Leah Quaile

Leah Quaile Curran joined NLSP in 2014 as a staff attorney for NLSP's Family Preservation Project. As a staff attorney, Leah's work focused on stabilizing families at risk of having a child removed by D.C. CFSA by providing advice, brief services, and representation in family law and public benefits matters. Leah was later promoted to Senior Family Law Attorney in the Deanwood Office, and appointed Managing Attorney of NLSP's Family Law Practice in 2017. 

Prior to joining NLSP, Leah served as a judicial law clerk to the Honorable Jeanette J. Clark in the Family Court of the Superior Court of the District of Columbia. During law school, Leah spent four semesters as a Student Attorney with Columbus Community Legal Services' Families and the Law Clinic, representing survivors of domestic violence and human trafficking in custody and immigration cases. Leah was a recipient of a Clinical Legal Education Award in 2012.

Leah received her J.D. from The Catholic University of America, Columbus School of Law. She received her B.A. from American University, where she studied international peace and conflict resolution.

Leah is an active member of the Washington Council of Lawyers and the Columbus School of Law Alumni Council. She was named to the SuperLawyers Rising Star List for 2017.
