Melody Webb

Melody Webb joined NLSP in 2017 as the Pro Bono Counsel.  She is based in the New York Avenue office.  She is responsible for the organization’s outreach to and management of pro bono resources from private sector legal partners. She is also responsible for the firm’s related compliance with LSC requirements for private attorney involvement.

Melody has held several non-profit positions as a legal advocate. These include Legal Director for the Employment Justice Center, Associate General Counsel for the Service Employees International Union, and systemic reform attorney for the Washington Legal Clinic for the Homeless.  She has additionally served as Legislative Counsel to U.S. Senator Robert Casey (D-PA). Her private practice has focused on low-income clients.

A native and resident of Washington, D.C., Melody holds a B.A. magna cum laude from Harvard University, and a J.D. from Harvard Law School, where she was named a Kaufman Public Service Fellow.  In 2016, she was awarded the Gary Bellow Public Service Award by Harvard Law School.
