Qualana Alli

Qualana Alli is a staff attorney with NLSP in the practice areas of Family Law and Consumer Law. She studied Biology at Howard University and then worked for a number of years in the private sector, but had a strong desire to serve the community.

When she heard the screams of Trayvon Martin, whose death brought forth the creation of Black Lives Matter - one of the most persistent social justice movements present day - it was then that Qualana made the decision to work in social advocacy. Qualana applied to law school and attended the University of the District of Columbia David A. Clarke School of Law (UDC-DCSL). She interned for the District of Columbia Board of Ethics and Government Accountability. Qualana served as a student attorney in the law clinics of the Government Accountability Project, and the DC Law Students in Court Criminal Law Clinic where she defended low-income DC residents accused of misdemeanors in the District of Columbia. Qualana graduated magna cum laude from UDC-DCSL in May 2016. She then served as a judicial law clerk for the District Court for Prince George’s County, serving the entire Judicial Bench of 17 Judges. Qualana is barred in the states of Maryland, Ohio and in the District of Columbia as of Nov 3, 2017.
