Adrian Gottshall joined NLSP in September 2011 as a Westwood Fellow and became a permanent Staff Attorney in July 2012. Adrian holds a B.A. in Crime, Law, and Justice from The Pennsylvania State University and a J.D. from The University of the District of Columbia David A. Clarke School of Law (UDC-DCSL). As a student-attorney at UDC-DCSL, she provided over 850 hours of legal services to low-income residents in the HIV/AIDS Legal Clinic and the Juvenile and Special Education Law Clinic. She was a 2009 Dean’s Fellow and the recipient of the “Unsung Hero” honors convocation award.

Adrian has a strong commitment to public service as demonstrated by her previous volunteer positions at Big Brothers Big Sisters Mentoring Program and the Time Dollar Youth Court. She also advocated for the legal rights of D.C. residents through her internships at the Public Defender Service for the District of Columbia, Bread for the City, and University Legal Services.

Adrian has thoughtfully and carefully dedicated her legal career to achieving justice for low-income residents. She is passionate about overcoming barriers facing low-income people because she believes that every person deserves to have a voice. Adrian is honored to work at NLSP, where she can help those voices to be heard!
