Alicia Wimbish started at NLSP in 2010 as the Chief of Operations. In 2011, she started as a Westwood Fellow and was hired as a staff attorney in the Brief Services Unit in 2013. Alicia works at the Southeast Ward 8 and Rhode Island Ave offices.
As a brief services attorney, Alicia works with new applicants seeking legal assistance and provides them with initial advice and brief services. Brief Services may include assisting with completing pro se forms, drafting demand letters or conducting brief legal research. In addition, Alicia maintains a small caseload of family law and social security cases.
Alicia is a graduate of Catholic University of America Columbus School of Law. In law school she participated in various activities including Moot Court, National Trial Team, and the family law clinic. Alicia earned her undergraduate degrees from Lincoln University in Pennsylvania, where she double-majored in Spanish and Political Science and minored in psychology. She speaks Spanish fluently.
