A father's rights are essentially the same as a mother's but sometimes men have difficulty exercising all their parental rights.

Disputes over paternity, child support and custody can interfere with a dad's ability to play a full role in his children's life.

This Father's Day weekend, family law attorneys from Neighborhood Legal Services Program will explain how to file for custody or visitation, when to seek to modify a child support order and how to establish paternity in the District of Columbia. You will also learn about the free, legal help available to low-income dads who need help with family law cases in the District of Columbia.
