April Williams has significant experience representing companies and individuals in complex civil and criminal cases, and investigations throughout the United States and abroad. Among Ms. Williams’ experience is the recent representation of a multinational technology company in False Claims Act litigation, a multinational auto parts company in connection with antitrust investigations by regulators in numerous jurisdictions and in class action litigation, and a criminal defendant in a racketeering conspiracy action. In addition, Ms. Williams has counseled and represented clients on issues including commercial construction disputes, securities actions, arbitrations and a wide variety of government investigations, including Title IX investigations by the Department of Justice. She has also handled numerous sensitive internal investigations into a wide variety of matters. Ms. Williams has represented clients at various stages of litigation, including discovery, motions practice, trial preparation and sentencing.
Pro Bono Work
Ms. Williams maintains an active pro bono practice, which has included representing clients in immigration matters before the Ninth Circuit, guardianship issues in DC Superior Court, and criminal matters in Baltimore City Circuit Court.
Professional Associations/Activities
In 2016, Ms. Williams completed the National Institute of Trial Advocacy’s Trial Skills Program, and in 2017 she completed the John Payton Leadership Academy. She is also a member of the National Bar Association and the American Bar Association.
