Ashley Graham-WatanabeManaging Attorney, Brief Services Unit and Director of Compliance
Ashley started working at NLSP in 2014 as a Staff Attorney. In 2018 she became Managing Attorney for Brief Services, Ashley works with new applicants seeking legal assistance and provides them with initial advice and brief services. Brief Services may include assisting with completing pro se forms, drafting demand letters or conducting brief legal research. In her role as Manager, Ashley oversees the intake process for NLSP, all of the intake workers and the Brief Services attorneys. In this role she has the most responsibilities for the Case Management System in terms of both management and data input. She is based in the Southeast Office at 2412 Minnesota Avenue SE.
Prior to working for NLSP, Ashley was an attorney for 4 years with Legal Aid Society of Middle Tennessee and the Cumberlands, where she was a general practitioner, practicing in family, housing, consumer and public benefits. She also worked as a clerk at Legal Aid of East Tennessee.
Ashley received her J.D. from the University of Tennessee Knoxville, and graduated in 2010 with a specialty in advocacy and dispute resolution. She also received her B.A. in music from Appalachian State University.
