Marie TashimaStaff Attorney, Housing Unit

Marie Tashima (she/her/ella) joined NLSP in October 2023 as a staff attorney in the Housing Unit, where she helps tenants fight for their right to safe, affordable, and stable housing.

Before moving to D.C., Marie worked on housing justice with tenant organizations and legal service providers in San Francisco and Boston. During law school, she was a student attorney with the Access to Justice clinic and an intern with the Housing Unit at Greater Boston Legal Services. Her work in Boston centered on fighting corporate landlords who were gentrifying East Boston and evicting long-term tenants from predominantly Spanish-speaking communities.
