Neferteria BrownSupervising Attorney, Housing Unit
Neferteria Brown is a Supervising Attorney with the Housing Law Unit. She provides eviction defense and represents clients in housing matters.
Prior to joining NLSP in May 2022, Neferteria worked with the September 11th Victim Compensation Fund, handling claims transitioning from personal injury to wrongful death. She also spent time as an Assistant State’s Attorney with the Office of the State’s Attorney for Prince George’s County, and drafted appellate decisions as Associate Counsel with the Board of Veterans’ Appeals. She previously volunteered with the Pro Bono Resource Center of Maryland, as part of an Estate Planning Clinic for Seniors.
Neferteria graduated with a B.A. from Duke University. She received her J.D. from American University Washington College of Law. She later returned to American to obtain an LL.M. in Law and Government, with a concentration in Civil and Constitutional Rights.
