Odilia Asakeyarigo

 Odilia Asakeyarigo joined Neighborhood Legal Services Program in September of 2024 as the Howard C. Westwood Fellow in the Family Law Unit.

Odilia holds both an LL.M. and a JD from American University Washington College of Law, the latter of which was earned in May 2024. Her LL.M. focused on International Legal Studies, specializing in International Human Rights and Humanitarian Law. Prior to that, she obtained an LL.B. from the Ghana Institute of Management and Public Administration and a B.Ed. in Guidance and Counseling from the University of Education, Winneba, Ghana.

Odilia is also a trained social worker from the School of Social Work, Osu, Ghana. She has experience working with various units within the Department of Social Welfare in Ghana. This experience includes collaborating with the family court through the Probation Unit and supporting domestic violence victims with the Domestic Violence and Victim Support Unit in partnership with the Ghana Police Service.

She is deeply passionate about advocating for families, children, and individuals within the social welfare and justice systems. She has a strong commitment to supporting survivors of domestic violence and vulnerable populations.
